Flutissimo! is comprised of four talented Long Island flutists who are dedicated to presenting exciting and varied programs, classical to contemporary, on traditional C flutes, piccolo, alto, and bass flutes. Members of the quartet also perform duets and trios and occasionally expand the ensemble to include an additional flute, guitar, piano, or other instrument, thus providing greater possibilities for a more diverse repertoire.
Flutissimo! has presented concerts throughout Long Island since its founding in 2003 when we gave our first performance at the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, NY. That series has become an annual event for us. Additional performances have included the Huntington, Cold Spring Harbor, South Huntington, Farmingdale, and East Meadow Libraries, Old Westbury Gardens, the Huntington Arts Council Art-Trium Gallery in Melville, Opera Night in Northport, and The Tuesday Morning Music Club of Douglaston.
